APEX-G brings together an established supply chain for highly customised single-mode VCSELs developed for quantum applications to scale-up design, epitaxial growth, fabrication and packaging to deliver novel laser sources for several rapidly growing markets in the industrial and medical/clinical sectors.
The 12-month project led by Integrated Compound Semiconductors Limited (ICS), totalling £915,080 is part supported by Innovate UK and also includes partners Compound Semiconductor Centre Limited (CSC), Microchip Technology Caldicot Limited (MTCL) and National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
