Compound Semiconductor Center nominated for a Made in the UK Award

Friday 24 May 2019: After winning in the category of the "Collaboration" Award at the Made in Wales awards back in October, CSC is finalist of the UK awards in the same category against the winners of all the other regions.

The ‘Collaboration’ category celebrates the achievements of a special collaboration between a manufacturing company and a third party. The CSC entry was based on its success in securing over £6M of Collaborative Research funding from sources such as InnovateUK, The Home Office, Eurostars, UK Quantum Technology Programme and the Welsh Government over the last two years.

This year’s event takes place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Thursday, 20 June and will celebrate the UK's most innovative and successful manufacturers, ranging from SMEs to multinationals.

The finalists for the "Made in the UK Collaboration Award" are:

Collaboration Award
South West – XMOS with Pillo Health
North West – Virtual Engineering Centre with Heap and Partners
Wales – Compound Semiconductor Centre (with partners IQE, SPTS, Microsemi, Newport Wafer Fab, Cardiff University, Swansea University, Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult, Cardiff Capital Region City Deal,  Welsh Government)
